Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots and other parts of plants. 50 to 70 times more potent than herbs, essential oils have been used throughout history in many cultures for their therapeutic and medicinal benefits.
This class will explore some of the essential oils mentioned in the Bible. Did you know that oils are referenced in 36 of the 39 books of the Old Testament, and 10 of the 27 books in the New Testament?
We will explore the plants and trees they are derived from, and discover the properties of the modern versions and how they are used today to support health and wellness internally, topically and aromatically.
For each oil, we will provide references to specific Bible passages to enhance our understanding and appreciation of the text, and discover rich applications for both spiritual and physical well being. Please feel free to bring your Bible along and discover new wisdom in this ancient Book.

My approach is wholistic (spelling intentional) because I believe that success, when it comes to our health, weight or body-size goals, must take into account the whole person and not just the number on a scale. What good is an eating plan if we still have aches and pains that could be addressed by the food we eat (or don't eat)?
